How do I remove Guardian from an Android phone?

Guardian is designed to be easily removed remotely. From your control panel you can trigger a remote uninstall and removal. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to access your control panel and need to remove Guardian manually from the phone, then you’d need to wipe the phone to remove Guardian completely.

On an Android phone this can be easily done through Recovery Mode. Here’s how:

  • When the phone is powered off, press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down keys both at the same time, then press and hold the Power key until the Recovery Mode screen appears (this usually takes about 15-20 seconds)
  • Press the Volume Up/Down key to navigate up/down through the options and select FACTORY RESET then press the Power key to select it.
  • The phone will restart and you’ll be at the welcome screen.
